A lift truck to be a successful model should be built powerful to last the working environments for numerous hours of use. It should be able to move loads effectively and quickly as well. The machinery has to be both ergonomically correct and comfortable for the operator as well.
Yale's powertrain is both rugged and dependable. The powertrain needs the power to constantly provide great durability through its computer-managed transmission and engine. It provides state-of-the-art clutch packs along with extremely tough shafts and robust gears. The drive, steer axle, transmission and engine are all isolated in order to reduce both noise and vibration inside the compartment of the operator.
GM & Mazda LP & Gas Engines:
The GM Gas and Mazda LP Engines are made from cast-iron blocks for long life. These machinery offer an electronically-controlled closed loop fuel system that requires minimal adjustment or repair. These engines also have hardened exhaust valve seats which lessen wear.
Cummins and Yanmar Diesel Engines:
Inside the Cummins and Yanmar diesel engines, a high compression ratio provides exceptional torque. Remarkable fuel consumption is offered by efficient fuel systems.
Regular Electronic Powershift Transmission:
The electronic powershift transmission is standard on most equipment. It features gears which are 15% stronger and shafts which give resistance when driving on rough environment. The durable clutch packs offer 3 times the life of previous packs. Lastly, there is available electronic inching which adjusts automatically so as to reduce maintenance needs by compensating for brake wear.
Techtronix Transmission:
This transmission system uses a computer-controlled power reversal which increases durability, extends tire life, and minimizes shock loading. In addition, the auto deceleration feature reduces brake wear and brake pedal usage.
Drive Axle:
The Drive Axle is made for added strength with its full floating, brake drum mounting axle shaft and the pinion gears and strong ring. This component also has optional oil cooled wet disc brakes that are basically maintenance free and completely sealed against contamination.
Steer Axle:
In order to protect the steer cylinder for damage and debris, the Steer Axle features a "sandwich" design. This Steer Axle also has a fixed-length tie rods that can add extra durability and stability. The tapered roller bearings help to resist front to back and side-to-side forces. Additionally, cast ductile iron axle increases toughness and lessens wear.
Yale had made numerous safety features and ergonomic features part of their standard packages. These kinds of machinery would handle tough settings, while keeping the operator comfortable and safe for the duration of their shift.
