Use a Pneumatic Forklift
You can usually find pneumatic forklifts in shipping and warehouse operations. Also called pump trucks or pallet trucks, they are used in order to transport things and materials around on wooden pallets utilizing metal forks which are mounted on a wheeled counterweight. The counterweight has a pump that could lift the forks off the ground. A pallet truck is designed to be operated by a single individual.
To prevent loosing control while lifting heavy loads, pallet trucks must always be operated carefully. Equipment should be checked prior to operating. Clear the wheels area of any obstacle. Make certain that the handle smoothly turns. The pallet should be stacked carefully in order to ensure that nothing will fall off during transportation.
In order to release air in the pump and lower the forks, squeeze the lever situated on the inside of the metal loop on the end of the pallet truck's handle. The forks can then be pushed into the slots of the pallet. The forks should be centered to ensure equal distribution of the pallet's weight across them. Raise the forks from the ground by pumping the pneumatic lift's handle until the pallet has cleared the ground completely. Do not lift the pallet very high or the forklift can unbalance.
Pull on the handle and then drag it behind you if you want to move the pallet. It is really dangerous to push the pallet ahead of you since the thrust could cause it to lose control. Take turns slowly and don't attempt to stop abruptly. Slowly stop, squeeze the lever, and the forks will lower to the ground. Finally, remove the forks from the pallet by pulling them out. Return the pallet truck to its permanent location.
