Audible Devices - Back-Up or Motion Alarms:
Back-up alarms and motion alarms are audio device accessories that generate enough sound so that the noise is heard overtop the noises produced from the forklift itself.
The sound needs to be readily distinguishable from other audible devices or noises within the work setting. Sound must be readily distinguishable from other sound or audible devices within the work place. The audible device could employee noise exposure and end up contribute to OSHA noise limitation; thus, care needs to be taken.
Determine the direction and distance the sound of the audible device is made harder because of the use of hearing protection. Audible devices could occasionally get deactivated from both operators and workers as they could find them very irritating. Furthermore, audible devices can also be objectionable to residents in the vicinity.
Additional Operator & Application Options:
Enclosed Operator Cabs: To protect the operator from the elements, enclosed operator cabs made of tempered glass are used to help avoid injuries and lessen other issues. Moreover, these cabs feature an emergency exit via window removal. The levels of noise are lessened at the operator's ear because of additional sound proofing.
Operator Selectable Performance Modes: For every specific application, the operator is able to choose the performance requirement. What's more, it allows a supervisor to set the model's utmost performance for an operator who is just learning. Being able to reduce and adjust the unit's utmost performance enables a new operator to learn the machine's operating features in a controlled environment.
Impact Monitor: The impact monitor deactivates the unit and when this occurs, it needs a supervisor to activate and override the model. This encourages the operator to be sure to manage the machinery in a more controlled manner.
Dual Rear View and Panoramic Mirrors: These mirrors serve as an aid to the operator in observing the tail swing area, as well as the operating environment behind the truck.
