CareLift Equipment has been engineering and building excellent rough terrain forklifts ever since the year 1962. Each day the company strives to deliver value and help all their consumers reach their goals because they know the bottom line is performance and reliability.
Boom lifts are available in 2 general types, the articulated boom lift and straight boom lift. Both these units are usually hydraulically powered. Most commonly straight booms are the great option for jobs which require a high reach with no obstructions. The turntable on the equipment can rotate three hundred sixty degrees with an extendable boom. This extendable boom can be raised vertically to below horizontal. Because the operator can steer and maneuver the vehicle whilst the boom is fully extended, it is a very versatile equipment. These units are available in 4 wheel drive and 2 wheel drive, as well as diesel, propane or gas configurations.
Articulated boom lifts are utilized for lifting loads up and over obstacles and gain access to areas which were otherwise not accessible. These lift units perform jobs that straight telescopic booms cannot do. These lifts are practically like the straight boom lift in most aspects except in the ability of the boom to articulate. There are various articulation points on the boom in order to enable it to bend in a variety of different directions allowing it to move around any objects easily within the work environment.
To be able to maintain stability while the boom lift is fully extended, some heavy-duty boom lifts come equipped with outriggers. The outriggers provide the operator with some extra confidence and safety. Proper training is necessary prior to operating boom lifts so as to ensure the jobsite, the operator and everyone working in the vicinity stays safe.
The boom lift allows for tasks needing a lot of man power to be carried out in much less time. These machines have changed the material handling business and have greatly increased productivity.
